Fill tactile table or large bin with water. Talk to the children about things that sink and things that float. Ask them what makes something sink or float. Show the children one object at a time and ask them to predict if it will sink or float (record their response on the worksheet or a chart). Then have a child put the item into the water and see if it sinks or floats. Record what ACTUALLY happened with the object on the worksheet.
